Jake Stevens


Jake Stevens is an associate attorney with Eisner & Dictor, P.C. Jake has worked on a range of plaintiff-side employment matters, including wage & hour, discrimination, Article 78, contract, and traditional labor claims.

Jake graduated with a JD from New York University School of Law. At NYU Jake served as the president of the school’s National Lawyers Guild chapter, and as a board member of Law Students for Economic Justice. Jake spent his first summer with New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), where he defended teachers’ rights to what they were owed by the school system. Jake spent his second summer at Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein P.C., where he worked with a variety of public sector unions in New York State on bargaining and contractual issues. In the Fall of his final year at law school he clerked at Cohen, Weiss & Simon LLP, where he assisted union clients in negotiations, litigation, and arbitration proceedings. In his final semester of law school Jake participated in the Pro Bono Scholars Program, passing the bar exam before the semester started and working full time for school credit at the Workplace Justice Project at Make the Road New York.

Prior to law school, Jake attended NYU where he graduated cum laude with a BA in politics and minor in sociology. After graduating Jake worked as a political organizer in a variety of professional and volunteer roles, including the Obama 2012 presidential campaign, the Sanders 2016 presidential campaign, and campaigns to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and introduce a $15 per hour minimum wage. He also served as a public policy researcher, social media specialist, hostel front desk attendant, data analyst, fundraiser, and campaign manager.
